What's Cooking with Boston Chefs: The New Hang

South End restaurateurs Seth Woods and Jeff Gates (Aquitaine, Metropolis Cafe) have opened their third area eatery, Union Bar and Grille. Perched on Washington Street near Union Park, it is a big, American brasserie-style place with Stephen Sherman in the kitchen. The menu includes smoked Menemsha bluefish with celery, walnut, and apple salad and horseradish mustard; lobster fricassee with sweet corn, chanterelles, and potato gnocchi; and sweet corn risotto with andouille, green onions, and roasted peppers.
